When I first found out who my consultant was going to be I researched him on the website and immediately felt at ease and knew I was going to be ok with Mr Atkinson, I had my full knee replacement this February 2020 on the day I was admitted he explained everything to me in detail that I would experience pain afterwards for a while but it would get better in time and the swelling would be there for about a year. The other thing which stood out for me was after finishing his clinic he came up to visit to see how I was getting on ok.
