It is no understatement to say Mr Dawe has transformed my life. I was a very active and physically fit guy who had 3 lots of ankle surgery by a different surgeon (who shall remain nameless), after the last surgery I have been in pain for about 4 years and the surgeon said there is nothing more he can do for me (apart from ankle replacement but I'm a bit young for that and it wouldn't stand up to my lifestyle or fuse the joint but then I wouldn't be able to ski so not an option). I was faced with spending the rest of my days limping around and not being able to do the sports I love.... I then decided to get a second opinion...enter Mr Dawe (aka Super Surgeon), on my first visit he spent 50 minutes going through all my previous history and reviewing the MRI & CT scans and concluded that the previous surgeon had perhaps missed a few bits and that he was very confident he could reduce the level of pain. I left the consultation with a renewed sense of hope. I then got diagnosed with a cancer tumour and had to postpone the surgery, Mr Dawe then worked hard to book me an operating slot as soon as I had recovered enough. Mr Dawe filled me with confidence and his professional abilities are second to none, within days of the surgery I was off my crutches, walking around the block (still in a bit of pain from the operation), after 10 days I went for a 1 mile run, after 16 days I went for a 2 mile run followed by a 2 mile stand up paddle board session and finished off with a few miles on my bike (stood up on the peddles to power up the hills) - all without much pain. It's now about a month since surgery and I'm pain free, thank you Mr Dawe. The bottom line is if you're in pain or have been told there's nothing more that can be done, don't give up until you've seen Mr Dawe, the finest surgeon and a thoroughly nice guy.
