I am so thankful that Mr Banerjee was my consultant, from our first meeting I felt reassured that I was in safe hands. The information he gave me about my condition, treatment and surgery was clear and delivered with compassion. My mastectomy with reconstruction was successful with no complications and 6 weeks on, my recovery is going very well. From comments made by the medical staff I met during my treatment, it's obvious that Mr Banerjee is respected by his colleagues. And I'd definitely recommend him to anyone needing breast surgery.

From the 1st time I met “Mr B” I knew I was in good hands and felt 100% sure my operation and recovery would be a success. I felt at ease to be able to ask any questions about the procedure, what to expect after my operation re recovery time, how I’d feel, etc etc. I was able to lift both my arms straight away after my double mastectomy operation! , and Mr B came to see me every day whilst I was in hospital, even on his day off over a bank holiday weekend! It’s been 2.5 months since my operation and everything is good, and I’m back doing my normal routine of pilates and in another months time I will start playing tennis again.

From initial consultation I knew I was in the best hands with Dr Banerjee, he listened to the reasons that I wanted elective breast surgery and the desired effect I was looking for. From this point I felt completely confident in my decision and excited for the procedure. The same theme continued throughout the surgery and aftercare, the size and shape of the breasts are exactly what I wanted (and much more than I thought they ever could be), I have been constantly reassured when experiencing the slightest niggle and have found that Dr Banerjee has always made time to see or speak to me before and after the procedure. I would recommend Dr Banerjee wholeheartedly, wonderful surgeon and a lovely person!

I went to see Mr Banerjee with my daughter who we had recently discovered was a carrier of the BRCA 2 gene. She had decided to have a preventative double mastectomy. As she was only 24 this was a particularly huge and frightening decision to make. Mr Banerjee was reassuring and kind with just the right mix of gravitas so that I felt my daughter would be safe in his hands, and humour so we felt at ease and less scared. After every meeting with him my daughter felt calmer and less unsure about her decision which, as her mother, was priceless. The other thing for which we were so grateful was that he always responded straightaway to any queries or worries my daughter or I had. At such a stressful time that was absolutely invaluable and made a huge difference to the whole experience.
