I feel totally confident in this consultant; also so lovely to hear such great comments from staff that work with him.

With a scare of finding a lump in my breast, on meeting Mr Banerjee for the first time he put me completely at ease. The appropriate tests were carried out and whilst the lump was benign they found DCIS. Mr Banerjee took time to explain this in great detail what this was, and was happy to answer all questions and what the options were for treatment. The first route was a lumpectomy, Mr Banerjee was always professional, a quick visit before the procedure to complete the necessary paperwork etc but always very personable and reassuring. The surgery went smoothly but post surgery and further results showed there was a lot more DCIS then first thought. Mr Banerjee discussed options on what could be done, but the safest route was a mastectomy for peace of mind. It was a lot to digest and I hadn’t really thought I would need to go down this route but I felt confident and reassured by Mr Banerjee that this was the right thing to do. Same with the mastectomy surgery Mr Banerjee was very pleasant and it went well, I also had two lymph nodes removed on this procedure on waking up he was there and reassured me that it hadn’t spread to my lymph nodes which was one of my main worries, he also rang my husband there and then to say it all went well. He would pop to your room post surgery to see how you were getting on and check on things even when it looked like he was just off home so he really made the time to ensure you were all ok. I’ve just had my augmentation surgery on my other breast, again a very smooth procedure and Mr Banerjee supportive and clear every step of the way. His secretary Sarah was also amazing, on hand to help and so quick at responding if you had any quick questions or she would check with Mr Banerjee.

From the second I met Mr Banerjee I knew I was in safe hands, his empathy, kindness, support and explanation were exceptional. Nothing can prepare you for when you find out you have breast cancer, the emotion, the questions, the fear and the sadness, but in these circumstances you want to know you have THE person who is going to have your back and that is Mr Banerjee and his amazing team and wonderful personal assistant Sarah. They worked at warp speed to remove the cancer, 2 x papilloma and 2 x lymph nodes (to check them) there were MRI’s, ultrasounds, biopsies, clips, mag seeds pre op appointments and then the operation. I had a lumpectomy. When Mr Banerjee removed the dressing I honestly would not know what was removed, I had a golf ball sized area taken from my right breast.with the lymph nodes and he did a brilliant job amazing. He went in through the top of the nipple and even after 2 x weeks you would struggle to see where he went in. We are now on to the next phase and again I know that Mr Banerjee has my back. I am so thankful that I went under his care and I would recommend him in a heart beat. If you are reading this I wish you good luck.

Mr Banerjee really made me feel comfortable straight away. He listened to exactly what I wanted and never rushed me to make any decision until I was 100% sure. On the day of the operation he made me feel calm and I was not nervous at all.
