I have had experience of good and bad care. The most important thing that I find is sadly lacking, is effective communication skills, including active listening. Mr Makki showed empathy and understanding and listened to my concerns . I did not feel rushed at any point and he answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything really thoroughly so that I could make an informed decision about surgery . He was friendly, reassuring and had a sense of humour, which I appreciated. Other health professionals could learn a lot from Mr Makki.
