I first met Mr. Makki about fourteen months ago when he assessed me for an arthroscopic repair to my left rotator cuff. He was relaxed and made me feel completely at ease. The surgery was undertaken on the eleventh of September 2021. Repairs to both the supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons, both of which had full-thickness tears. Some reprofiling of the left clavicle was also necessary. Postoperatively, I began physiotherapy which continues at the time of writing (06/12/2021). A follow-up review with Mr. Makki demonstrated that my recovery was going well, and ahead of schedule. I was discharged from Mr. Makki's care. If every consultant I had seen over the last 72 years was as thorough, courteous and professional as Mr. Makki the NHS would not be struggling.
