I underwent hand surgery with Daoud Makki at the tail end of November. The first surgery for Dupuytrens on this hand, having undergone surgery for the same disease three times on the left hand and with three different surgeons. This has been by far the best operation from the point of view of recovery and pain or lack thereof. Everything was explained to me in a concise manner regarding the surgery, recovery and recurrence likelihood and Mr Makki was happy to respond to any questions and concerns in a relaxed manner. I never felt our consultations were rushed and felt he had a genuine desire for the wellbeing of me as a patient.
