I initially had the pleasure of meeting Mr Davies-Husband in early August 2020, due to a large swelling in my neck. I also had difficulty eating and a close friend of mine, who had throat cancer, recommended I make an appointment with Mr Davies-Husband as he was an expert in this field. My friend was treated successfully. At the initial meeting, he gave me a thorough examination including an endoscopy. He said that I had not got throat cancer but thought I was suffering from lymphona cancer and said that he would make all the necessary arrangements for me to see a consultant under the NHS. He did this extremely quickly and the tests that I required were carried out very quickly and Mr Davies-Husband phoned me himself with the results, on 21 August, even though I was not under his care. This resulted in an appointment with a consultant who set out the treatment that I would receive which was 6 sessions of RCHOP chemotherapy. This was successfull and I am now in remission. I am indebted to Mr Davies-Husband for his prompt diagnosis and for the effort he made in ensuring that I had the relevant tests as quickly as possible. His kind and caring manner made me feel very confident at a very difficult time for me. I would recommend Mr Davies-Husband to anyone who had similar symptoms as he was excellent all the way through the difficult process.
