Mr Parkar did a great job replacing my knee. I was very apprehensive but he was very kind and understanding and reassured me that it would make my life a lot easier if I could walk properly. Having had it done six weeks ago I wonder why I waited so long. I was walking on day 1 and gave up my crutches on day 3. I was determined to get back to normal as soon as possible. Mr Parkar arranged a few physio appointments and 5 hydrotherapy sessions, which I really enjoyed. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Parkar and will certainly consult him if I have any hip or knee problems in the future.

I highly recommend Mr Parkar who recently performed total hip replacement surgery on myself. At initial consultation he diagnosed and recommended hip replacement explaining fully the procedure, recovery times and risks from surgery. I felt completely reassured and fully understood diagnosis and treatment. On the day of the operation he carefully explained the procedure and recognised how nervous I was and took particular care to reassure and prepare me for the surgery. The operation was successful and I have recovered as he anticipated. I am now pain free and returning to normal life. Mr Parkar is relaxed, very confident and puts you fully at ease and I therefore wholeheartedly recommend him.

At my first appointment with Mr Parkar, he explained everything that would happen in my total right knee replacement operation. He was very understanding and caring and answered all questions fully, even showing me what would happen on a small model. During the operation, however, it was discovered that my patella was displaced and so needed ligaments to be cut to allow improvement of the patellar tracking. This meant the operation took a lot longer than anticipated. Once again, Mr Parker came to see me post op and explained all that had happened in detail. I have total faith and trust in Mr Parkar and will be seeing him again for my left knee replacement as soon as I am fit enough. Many thanks to you, Mr Parkar, and to all the wonderful staff at the Hartswood.
