I joined Cardiff & Vale University Health Board in January 2020 as Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Spinal Surgery. I completed my basic surgical training in South Wales, rotating through Accident & Emergency, Trauma & Orthopaedics, ENT, General Surgery & Plastic Surgery. My higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics was based in Welsh Deanery and successfully completed my Fellowship exams from Royal College of Surgeons. I further specialised in Spinal Surgery by completing fellowships at world renowned centres such as Welsh Centre for Spinal Trauma & Surgery, Manchester Children's Hospital & Salford Royal Hospital. I worked as a locum consultant at Royal Manchester Children's hospital for six months specialising in paediatric spinal deformity before joining Cardiff & Vale UHB. I specialise in all aspect of spinal surgery including degeneration, trauma, tumour, infection and deformity.
