As soon as we arrived we were supported immensely by all the staff at Addensbrook. Dr Karunakaran and the three nurses talked us through everything that was going to happen clearly and precise. It’s very hard to suggest anything to improve when my mother and I have been so looked after since the moment we arrived.

TK carried out gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He took the time to read my notes on my previous gastroscopy in 2021 and also conveyed the results of the CT Scan carried out on Sunday 4 June 2023 which was very reassuring. This reassuring approach was extended throughout both procedures. He also worked very collaboratively and effectively with the two supporting nurses - vary good team

Sorry if admitted twice - it wasn't clear it had gone through. I felt very relaxed with Dr Karunakaran's manner. He listened to all my symptoms before concluding which of these were not related to Gastroenterology. This was important for me as for a patient as it is sometimes difficult to explain to a doctor when you have several issues. Also when I asked Dr Karunakaran regarding a question at my original diagnosis some time ago, he appeared to have good knowledge of my case which I found very reassuring. I felt the consultation was reassuring and was extremely grateful for the time given to me.

I felt very comfortable talking to Dr Karunakaran about the issues I currently have been experiencing and very grateful he took the time to listen to all my concerns before coming to the conclusion they were not related to Gastroenterology. Sometimes it can be difficult for a patient to give the whole scenario when there are several symptoms whilst appreciating sometimes ailments are not related (this can often lead a patients mind to be on over diagnosis) . I felt very reassured and particularly I didn't feel silly or a nuisance for asking. Also when talking about symptoms from quite a while ago he appeared knowledgeable which made me feel he had read and understood my previous history. I was very satisfied and thankful for the consultation.

Dr Karunakaran had a calming and sensitive approach during my procedure. He put me at ease and answered my questions, talking me through the procedure carefully.
