I had previously had a bad experience of an endoscopy, where the endoscopist was unable to go in through my nose for some reason, so they went in through my mouth which I found uncomfortable, and traumatic, this time however, my experience was totally different, I was put at ease by a great team, very kind, and Dr Tipu Naqvi managed to get it through my nose with ease, he gave me plenty of throat anaesthetic spray, and I barely felt a thing, so thank you, for making my experience so much better!

The care I was given was outstanding. They were all so understanding and caring and compassionate. I was really scared leading up to having the procedure done, with my past family history pays.. I feel really glad I had procedure done , so I know how to deal with my symptoms property. The Doctor and Nurses were so good at making me as comfortable as possible and with me every step of the way and were very informative. Thank you.

I was very impressed by the endoscopic team from Dr Tipu Naqvi through to the two nurses Nola Townsend and Alison McNair. I have a very small segment of Barrett’s and have to be scoped bi annually. My experience with the whole team at Braintree hospital has always been excellent and second to none. As a nervous patient I cannot recommend highly enough.

The team at Braintree community hospital were helpful and considerate. They explained the procedure I was going to have, an endoscopy. The nasal spray is unpleasant, and I was told that this it is. The side effects of a sore throat etc has worn off quite quickly and I was pleased to have a printed report of my examination as a verbal explanation can be misunderstood.
