I had a trans nasal gastroscope on friday 2nd February at the endoscopy diagnostic centre which is adjacent to Ravenswood Health Centre. All the staff there were extremely helpful and reassuring. Dr Naqvi performed the procedure quickly, calmly and efficiently. I chose not to have sedation and I can report that introduction of the scope via the nose means that sedation really isn't necessary. There is no gagging involved and you can leave almost immediately after it is completed. Dr Naqvi gave me good feedback, showing me the photos he had taken and explained his findings.
