Dr Bano and the nurses at Spire London East Hospital were so lovely, professional and caring. I had had a particularly bad experience at a different hospital and was very nervous but Dr Bano instantly reassured me and the nurses put me at ease.

I had a hysterectomy in april, at Queens Hospital in Romford Dr Bano was my doctor she explained everything to me and we went through all my options, she was very patient and understanding. We agreed that she would do a vaginal hysterectomy, i was very nervous but the staff and Dr Bano were extremely caring. When i woke up after my hysterectomy i was very worried as i felt fine and i thought of god they havent done it for some reason or other. When i spoke to the nurse and the doctor they assured me i had had a hysterectomy. If you have to have a hysterectomy i would recommend a vaginal one if you can, i felt fine after mine, you still have to be careful and don't do anything silly. I can't thank Dr Bano and her team enough for the care they gave me.

I attended my appointment for hysteroscopy at queens hospital on Sunday. I can not fault the care I had from Dr Bano and her staff. Dr explained everything to me and put me at ease. The two nurses took great care of me. Talking to me all the time, holding my hand and reassuring me. Doctor took a biopsy which hurt, I cannot lie, but the nurses and doctor didn’t dismiss my pain they helped me. After the procedure I felt sick and faint and they all gave me time to recover. These ladies were wonderful and I cannot speak more highly of them all. I must admit I was apprehensive when I was told I had to go to Queens Hospital but hats off to you all and thank you so very much for caring.

I was very nervous about having a Hysteroscopy but Dr Bano and her team, Fenoulla and another nurse were absolutely lovely and put me at ease completely.
Dr Bano explained everything to me before and during the procedure in a very professional and helpful manner and her and the team also made me laugh with their rapport!
Thank you ladies for making what could have been a horrible experience as pleasant as possible.

I am a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of The British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). I am an accredited colposcopist and a trainer.
I have a wide range of expertise in all aspects of gynaecology providing high quality care to women with general gynaecological conditions including colposcopy, urogynaecology, vaginal surgery, menstrual disorders, contraception, menopause/HRT and pelvic pain. I have published widely within the obstetrics and gynaecology peer reviewed literature throughout my career and frequently present my work in international and national medical conferences.
