Dr Bano was very professional when I had to have a hystoscopy and some polyps removed. Her gentle manner and the kindness of her and all her team made what would normally be something that I would find very difficult, much easier and over with very quickly.
Everything was well explained and the follow up care was also very good.

I met Dr. Farida Bano for my biopsy in Queens Hospital, Goodmayes. She was so nice and did introduce her self and the staff was presented in the room. Doctor did ask for the reason that I am in. After she explained the procedure.
It was nice to have DR. Farida with me. Thank you doctor.

Dr Bano dealt with my colposcopy today at Queens hospital. She was very kind, professional, everything was explained clearly to me and she answered any questions I had. Her assisting nurse Dawn was equally kind and supportive. I could not praise them highly enough. Thank you so much.

I am a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of The British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). I am an accredited colposcopist and a trainer.
I have a wide range of expertise in all aspects of gynaecology providing high quality care to women with general gynaecological conditions including colposcopy, urogynaecology, vaginal surgery, menstrual disorders, contraception, menopause/HRT and pelvic pain. I have published widely within the obstetrics and gynaecology peer reviewed literature throughout my career and frequently present my work in international and national medical conferences.
I have a wide range of expertise in all aspects of gynaecology providing high quality care to women with general gynaecological conditions including Minimal access surgery (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures including out-patient hysteroscopies), colposcopy, vaginal surgery, prolapse repair/pelvic floor repair, menstrual disorders, contraception, menopause/HRT and pelvic pain.
