Dr Craig Knighton graduated from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, London, 1998, having also completed a BSc in Immunology. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, London, after gaining his MRCP qualification in 2006. Dr Knighton completed his training on the Pan-Thames Clinical Oncology rotation working at hospitals including The Royal Marsden, and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital Oncology Unit, as well as district general hospitals in Maidstone, Kent, and Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologist, Clinical Oncology faculty in 2014. He now works as a full time substantive Consultant Clinical Oncologist in the Oncology Unit at Northampton General Hospital, specialising in cancers of the head, neck and chest areas. He is also the Oncology Lead/Link and sits on the Three Shires Hospital Medical Advisory Committee. Dr Knighton provides a holistic approach to cancer care with his supportive team of allied professionals including nutritionists, clinical nurse specialists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
