In in July 2019 I was admitted to Maidstone stroke ward with a fronto parietal intracerebral hemorrhage.
Dr Thom was in charge of the team.
He was attentive, and listened to all my concerns, I was paralysed on my left side and he advocated me to get a place at Hothfield House neurological rehab, where I made an excellent recovery. I was 57 and very fit. But very young to have a brain hemorrhage.
During my time in the clinic and on discharge, all my follow ups with the team were on time, and I was discharged from his clinic at the end of 2019.
Since then I have made enquiries to the team in regard to aspects concerning my scans in relation to my stroke and another heakth matter.
I either received a letter from Dr Thom or a, member of his team.
I consider myself lucky to be under his care whilst at Maidstone, and found he always listened and took note of my concerns or queries.
He is a great clinician with a great team.
Seen as an outpatient 28th November 2018. Spent a week in hospital where my treatment was fine. On discharge from hospital was told Dr Thom he wanted to see me in 2 months time. I didn't receive an outpatient appointment until March. At this appointment I was told I would be seen again in a couple of months. It is now October and I still haven't been seen. I spoken to Dr Thom's Secretary to see how much longer my appointment would be and was told I would be lucky he was working on a back log of patients and I would not be seen anytime soon.
Excellent clinician and medical leader
