August this year my husband saw Mr Anish Gupta a Consultant General & Colorectal Consultant at St Helier hospital regarding further investigations to constant stomach pain and Bowel movement changes. Within 10 days MrGupta had Organised a CT scan, Colonoscopy and blood tests and After all tests Diagnosed A large Tumour in the Colon..this was all within 10 day someone. My Husband was operated on by Mr Gupta who performed a sigmoid Colectomy keyhole and without the need for a stoma Afterwards. That was in itself incredible.My husband was home 5 days later and has since recovered with no complications and needing no chemo afterwards as he was thankfully lucky that it had spread no where else. I believe his quick Recovery was down to the outstanding care and Surgery he received from My Gupta and his team and special Nurses. The Sugery he performed was state of the art leaving my husband to recover quickly and because he acted quickly the cancer didn’t spread. It was an awful time for my husband and us as a family...but with Mr Guptas expertise and care it was sorted out and dealt with quickly. He is an excellent consultant, highly skilled Surgeon who actually also cares about his patients before and after surgery and actually came into the hospital on a Sunday on his day off to make sure he was doing ok....as well as also calling him when he was discharged and at home to make sure he was recovering....to me it doesn’t get Better than that. I rate him the best Consultant I have ever had the pleasure of meeting...A highly skilled surgeon and a caring and compassionate human being who goes over and beyond of what he has to give because of the passion he has for his work and whoever gets him to look after them is very very Lucky.
