Dr Alison Grimston has been the best GP I have ever had. She is always been sympathetic to my use of alternative medicine, she listens patiently and prints out information on relevant health issues for me to take away. She takes time to explain options and allows me to make my own choices without pressure. Dr Grimston combines her medical training and knowledge of allopathic medicine with an intuitive response which means she is head and shoulders above other GPs who just dish out pills or send patients for surgery. Dr Grimston empowered me to help myself - I am so sad to discover that she has left Seaforth Farm Surgery in Hailsham but wish her great happiness and success in whatever she is doing. I will have to keep an ear to the ground to find out because I am sure it will be good!

The most informative and caring Doctor I have ever seen. If only more could be like her. Totally understood how I was feeling and gave me time to do the very best she could do for me. Really hope I will get to see her again as being locum today at my Surgery.

Dr Grimston was fantastic today. I had 3 concerns to bring to her and she dealt with each one calmly and systematically,really attending to my needs. She took what I believe were the right actions ( blood tests/ prescription) where previously I had felt unsure as to whether enough was being done , not sure what the next action should be and whether there should even be any follow up. Previously I had felt as though I was being left to my own devices & as though I was making a fuss . Dr Grimston printed off some very helpful information for me and was caring in a professional way.

I have to admit to being in the enviable position of not having to visit my GP very often. My previous GP was excellent and so when I learnt that he was leaving the practice I was somewhat apprehensive. Dr Grimston took his place and I can honestly say that, as far as I am concerned, she is the best GP that any patient could wish to have. Whenever I have made a visit to the surgery, she has welcomed me as though I were the first patient of the day, when in fact, she is in the middle or at the end of a very stressful day. She has listened to me and then replied and offered good advice and once, printed some relevant information from the Internet which helped me to understand my condition. She also suggested publications on the subject. I have always found her very professional and has helped me to maintain my dignity, asking me for my permission to examine me rather than telling me that she will examine me. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Grimston and am just very sad that she is now leaving the Practice. Thank you Dr Grimston, I wish you good luck for the future.
