I was operated on to stabilise my shoulder after multiple dislocations over a long period of time. It was explained to me that I was on the borderline for this type of surgery (arthroscopy) but that my scans had indicated it might prove a successful alternative to more invasive surgery. It is now more than 6 months since my operation and following physiotherapy and three follow-up appointments I have been discharged. I am totally satisfied with the result, the shoulder had been very unstable and prone to more dislocation. I was told that it would not be strong enough to continue playing in goal but I am now able to stretch and lift with out fear.
