My experience was very positive. As I have ADHD, the wait was not easy, but considering that the alternative would have taken 20 months, waiting 4 months for the assessment and another 4 months for titration was excellent. The quality of care of the whole team has been impressive, thank you.

I have to say, I was really impressed with the care in the service provided. I was referred by GP 5 months ago and had assessment today. Would definitely recommend the service. Whole process of assessment and what was needed beforehand was explained via email and text message. Psychiatrist assessment was a good experience.

I felt listened to and my treatment plan was tailored to me based my my requests and requirements, which were respected and accommodated throughout the process.
I was responded to in a timely manner even outside working hours.
I sometimes found it hard to keep up with the paperwork involved during the monitoring period. This didn't impact my care, however it may be helpful to others with ADHD to have a more comprehensive monitoring system. I sometimes felt overwhelmed by the pending monitoring forms that I fell behind on especially when the medication I was trying didn't help me in terms of organisation and focus.
I think maybe the service could also be improved with more focus on non medical management along side medication and guidance in managing ADHD as well as education about it.
I'm very grateful for the the service and the hardwork of all healthcare and administration professionals involved. Being listened to and taken seriously has really had a positive impact on my mental health and has given me confidence and hope moving forward and managing my condition.
I am concerned that the doctor did not take my discussion of a potential eating disorder too seriously, as I mentioned I was still overweight but experiencing periods of not eating due to a fear of putting on further weight, and he advised that if I'm overweight then "surely that's a good thing".

Overall a really good experience. Although the waiting list was a lot shorter compared to the NHS, the waiting time for both the psychiatrist appointment and the start of the titration was a bit long, but that is understandable considering the popularity of the service. Ash, my psychiatrist, was very friendly, and the appointment went smoothly with no issues. My nurse/prescriber Paul Cavanagh was also very friendly and helpful, providing very quick responses to any queries that I had.

I was referred in March 2022, got my first appointment in August 2022, started titration in January 2023.
I was extremely impressed by this service, I know some people who have been on the waiting list for an ADHD appointment via normal NHS route for 3 years.
My consultant really understood my issues and helped me make links to my childhood highlighting my ADHD and I felt really respected and felt very comfortable opening up to him.
My prescriber was helpful, informative and quickly responded to any queries I have.
I have already recommended this service to friends who are struggling with the same issue and told them what a positive experience I have had.

Felt I was listened to and spoken to adult to adult. I liked that communication was very frequent and clear. Lots of information about treatment was given and I always had to agree to treatment before it was passed. I found the prescriber particularly helpful. She always listened and helped to make me feel safe and included in the decision making.

This was all done online which I think I prefer so I am very grateful for this service. I haven't had much interaction being a new patient but the interaction I have had has been amazing and I would recommend this service.
