This service is very effective and I think a lot more treatments should be done this way. The waiting time is understandably long but very worth it if you are ready to have a change in life, especially if you are diagnosed as an adult.
My prescriber Olufunso Kolawole was always extremely quick to respond, very attentive and very efficient in her role. I am very glad I had her.
My psychiatrist was Rajvinder Sambhi and he was very attentive, understanding and I really appreciate how he listened to me when I was reading my notes and allowed me to share my experiences with compassion.
I really, really appreciate their help and I wish all services could be to this standard. Even members of staff who check up on case notes. Always responsive and quickly, they will never leave you on read. I have nothing bad to say at all and I've experienced some pretty rough services in the past so this was a game changer and increased my trust in doctors again.
The best decision I ever made was choosing to go as a private patient to Psychiatry-uk for my adult ADHD diagnosis. They have been nothing but kind, helpful and understanding at all times. I cannot fault them at all! I highly recommend everything they do and it has changed my life for the better to now, at the age of 37, have a diagnosis of ADHD and be medicated. If only I had known in my teenage years! Dr Kirsten Ellis is a fantastic psychiatrist and she was empathetic, non judgemental and kind — her and the whole team have made this whole process go so smoothly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Most of the above is relevant to a in-person appointment and therefore not relevant. However their service is excellent.
I managed to get my life back on track with the help of Psychiatry-uk.
Before I found out about Psychiatry-uk I was really struggling to get help with my ADHD dianosies, I had been on the NHS waiting for years and not got anywhere and it was really destroying my life.
Once I learned about the right to choose programme, I was seen and diagnosed in a matter of months, instead of 5 years which was the previous waiting time on NHS.
They made the whole process easy and enjoyable and I received top tier treatment.
Using Psychiatry UK has led me to be treated for ADHD for the first time at 37 years old. The service was great, and I went into titration 3 months earlier than they originally quoted, so I was very happy. My consultant listened during my consultation/assessment, and kept me up to date through the portal about wait times, answering questions in a timely manner. I would recommend Psychiatry UK to anybody, especially those going via Right to Choose for ADHD.
Psych UK was brilliant for getting diagnoses and treated for my ADHD.
The psychiatrist was very friendly and helpful, the nurse always responded to my messages in good time, the whole process was overall very positive. I would recommend Psychiatry UK to anyone looking to get an ADHD diagnosis/treatment.
Dr Sadiq was amazing, he was respectful and patient with every query I had, he was so lovely in appointment as well. Forever grateful for his help
It was a lit better than having to be put through the 3 year waiting list in my area to be treated for ADHD
Looks I've been having an opposite experience to a lot of people here.
Referred in 2021 for ADHD, diagnosed in June and put on a waiting list for titration.
I had a nervous 4 month wait but the staff and admin support were fantastic. Very caring, very helpful and very professional. Then I got transferred to titration and the experience has been horrible ever since.
I lost all my options to contact admin / other services and everything is run through the titration provider. He doesn't listen at all and I don't feel confident in his decisions. I've been in titration for 3 months and don't see myself getting out any time soon. Whenever I ask to go back to a medicine that worked, he's dismissive and makes me feel like I'm an inconvenience. I'm now on a medication that isn't working at all with some concerning side effects and it seems like he doesn't care. I tried to get in contact with the admin but nothing has come from it. I'm feeling pretty hopeless about my ADHD now.
So in summary, excellent right up until titration. I'm losing hope
