I can truly say that my experience as a patient of Mr De' Liguori Carino (hereafter LC)and his team, especially Sister Sharan Ingram (hereafter SI), has been so positive that it has restored my faith in the NHS. I was seen quickly, got a firm date for both operations (March 2017 and November 2018) and received clear and unpatronizing explanations. Although I knew that my condition was serious, any interaction I have had with either LC or SI has unfailingly left me feeling more positive. The particular qualities that Sister Ingram brings to her role are: dependability (when she says that she will visit you in the ward or will e-mail you, she unfailingly does), kindness (she really listens), interest in her patients (she treats them as the individuals that they are) and is ever willing to inform them knowledgeably about their condition.
