I suffer from vaginisimus and had never been able to tolerate a hysteroscopy as an outpatient. Mrs Lois Delchar was calm, kind and patient. This made a huge positive difference to me and enabled me to undergo the hysteroscopy as an outpatient. Such was Mrs Delchar's high level of skill, I did not feel any discomfort whatsoever and had not even realised that she had inserted to hysteroscope until I felt a very slight cramp as it entered my uterus. I also did not feel it being removed afterwards. This was a very significant positive experience for me and I cannot praise the skill and kindness of Mrs Delchar too highly. Please pass on my feedback and thanks to her. Thank you.

I was totally put at ease by Lois Delchar and her team I suffer greatly with health anxiety and I was treated with great understanding and care and everything was explained to me fully .

I have been working at Queens Hospital as a Nurse Hysteroscopist and Advanced Nurse Practitioner since 2005. I enjoy my role in supporting women with menstrual issues who are referred to my own nurse-led clinics. I regularly attend courses and conferences to keep my practice up-to-date to ensure I deliver the best quality of care to my patients.
