Heather was there for me right from the beginning of my journey getting diagnosed and treated for colorectal cancer. Heather was kind, compassionate and patient and went out of her way to listen and come up to see me on the ward. When I made the decision to do just chemotherapy and surgery and not to do radiation therapy as was the standard recommendation, Heather gave me her professional opinion but supported me with whatever I decided was best for me. I will always appreciate that. Thank you Heather for making me laugh even in the middle of it all and for treating me like a human being and not just another patient.
