I was in overnight and the next day. Stephen was part of a badly understaffed team, doing several people's work. He looks smart, empathic and professional, and prioritized the work well and showed his skills with each of the tasks expected. He was firm yet caring when dealing with a very stroppy patient. He particularly impressed with the way he was advising and assisting the lead nurse (who was new to the ward, and excellent- it was a near impossible task and she smiled right through the shift, showing leadership and responsibility on every issue). I was delayed more than four hours from leaving because of delay (probably because of staff shortage). During this period, I felt that Stephen was almost suffering with me because of the frustration. Thank you!!!

Response from Mr Stephen brennan

Hey! what a surprise .I thought maybe you had forgotten. I can now use this in my nurse review portfolio that we nurses have to present every 3 years .It has helped me a great deal. Many thanks. As for me now I am in southern Spain under a blue Andalusian sky in a small village in the hills for the next month or so and the hospital is mentally far far away. I hope by this point in time your pain has gone or though that may be wishful thinking as from personal experience and being of certain age these things do linger on for weeks if not months, but I hope at least it has greatly diminished. Also thanks for your understanding about the delays you suffered . Take Care....Stephen.

I have worked with Stephen for over 10 years. Stephen works diligently and very hard. He is both caring and enthusiastic and works capably within an A&E nursing capacity.
