From the moment Lorraine was introduced as my husband's Clinical Nurse Specialist we both received excellent care. Her prompt responses to my queries were dealt with sympathetically and quickly. She was so reassuring on all matters and helped us both understand the process for his treatment programme. Her help gave us reassurance at a difficult time with the new challenge facing us. Thank you Lorraine

Lorraine had all the time in the world to discuss my diagnosis with my sister and I. She showed great empathy, and explained in finite detail the process and what’s available to me as support throughout my journey. Clearly of caring nature, she made me feel that I was in good hands. Lorraine Rigg is a credit to a hospital I already know is fabulous anyway. I’m ‘Not’ anxious about the looming spectre of Cancer, I feel positive and it’s largely due to the highly skilled, professional and warm and engaging manner in which I was cared for.

Finished radiotherapy ,Mid October, then to have 3 monthly checks ,alternately ,urology and oncology. 1st check with urology,no mention of having PSA test beforehand. So contacted Lorraine for advice. "Yes PSA check essential, get a GP appointment, let me know when done and i will e-mail you with result as soon as known" Blood test,friday--e-mail from Lorraine 11am Monday with result and comment. It cannot be better than this,i would be "lost in the system" without her help. FANTASTIC McMillan nurse! Paul Harley

Once again Lorraine takes time in her busy schedule to return my call to her and answer my questions fully, with explanations that are understandable . She has also taken a query i have ,to discuss with my oncologist and if needed will organise the relevant prescription for me. Surely this must be the BEST service you could wish for! I am most grateful ,once again ,for her speedy help and assistance Many thanks Lorraine Paul H

We walked in to see Lorraine feeling a little traumatised but we left her feeling totally reassured about the 'journey' ahead. It is just so comforting to know that she us there for us if we need her.
