In this age of sharing information, having seen a consultant, they write to your doctors practice,to keep them informed.
As the patient, you also get a copy and see medical terminology, codes, numbers, all mean something to the medical profession, but not to you!!
Lorraine to the rescue!!!
E-mailed her with my questions, straight back ,the same day, with answers which i fully understood.
What an amazing service, would be lost without you all
Thanks,again,Lorraine!

Lorraine has good people skills, and is obviously empathetic, caring and knowledgeable. She plays a significant role in offering not only information but also listening, and offering practical and emotional support. With any sort of cancer uncertainty about the future is a a major issue, and Lorraine's responses to my concerns and her contribution to making clinics and procedures happen have been a real help. She also makes it clear that her relationship with her patients extends into the future, and so while it is impossible to predict the course my own PCa will take it is good to know that there is a known face available through her UFO/oncology role.
Was seen by Lorraine after my consultation to discuss a treatment plan for my cancer.
To be honest, most of what the consultant told me was difficult to understand,Lorraine to the rescue!
She explained my plan,in words that i could understand, sorted a prescription and explained how the drugs would work.
She sorted immediate blood tests for me,saving another hospital visit and with just one phone call, got an appointment changed to a hospital nearer my home.
All this done with ,care ,compassion and humour!
Thankyou Lorraine ,your positive attitude was a godsend on the day!

Since being introduced to Lorraine since my cancer diagnosis she has dealt with me professionally, sympathetically and efficiently . She has a very complete knowledge of her subject and is a superb ambassader of her profession.
Lorraine was very helpful and efficient with very fast turn around, for appointments and attentive in all discussions. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to others.
