Nurses encourage and assist in routine personal care needs (similar to what the home routine would have been i.e asking time to bed etc).
Always assistance available between routine needs.
Call buzzer always put within reach.
Excellent food and choice available.
Allowed to do as much as possible for oneself- within safety limits.

The patient care was second to none, the staff nurse, sister, wards and consultants were constantly going the extra mile.
Staff and care given on this ward really does kill out the negative vibes towards the NHS, it is not the staff, fault or never should they need to be involved in the politics.
