Listened to what I was saying as her parent. She’s my third child I was 99 percent sure she had tonsillitis that needed antibiotics. I was told no it wasn’t that and to just mange it at home with pain relief. She declined over the weekend and I had to go to the doctor first thing Monday morning. The moment he looked at her throat he said there was pus over the tonsils and she needed antibiotics. I don’t think nurse practitioners should see children under 5 who can’t communicate what’s wrong. I feel annoyed I wasn’t listened to.
