Review of Emergency Department - WXH

More frequent patient checks in majors would help. I’ve been waiting for over hours several times to be disconnected from cardiac monitor to go to toilet.

Waited hours to be seen. Drs and nurses standing about chatting discussing football etc and completely ignoring patients. At least one man couldn’t wait any longer and left

After going to A&E I was admitted overnight to wait for test results and see doctor. The next day I was offered breakfast and other than blood pressure checks, that was it! I did not see a doctor, nobody gave me the test results and I was not even offered a cup of tea, I had to ask for it. I was discharged without any explanation and even the discharge form shows facts that are wrong. I have never had problems with Whipps Cross before but I am appalled at the service I received this time. I am no better but can't go to my GP as he will send me straight to A&E due to my symptoms. Absolute disgrace.

What I'm angry about is the reviews on Google and Yelp. They seem to be trolling the service of Whipps. I have always had the finest treatment here and have even had my life saved a couple of times. One niggle- patient transport service can be poor. Not the drivers, jhst the logistics.

The worst hospital I have ever been into. Avoid at all cost. You can die from pain they won't bother. They can't even get my medication right although I told them about my dose. Don't get ill. This place should be shut forever.

Mum was treated incredibly well by all the staff in whipps A&E. Her treatment was very thorough and her injured hand stitched with as much care and as gently as possible. The nurse in particular was wonderful, repeating things and reassuring mum as often as needed because she has dementia
