Welcoming, informative, quick, professional. Areas could be better signposted, maybe different colors for different areas. Lines on the floor to follow?

Review of Gastroenterology Outpatients - WXH written by a patient
12th January 2018

I was particularly impressed by the smooth operation of the gastroenterology outpatient staff whom I came into contact with. Very welcoming, professional and speedy in the operation of their duties. The reception staffer was engaging, courteous and clear in her communication. Similarly the nurse who weighed me and showed me to the waiting area was equally engaging, courteous and professional. The Doctor too was also very engaging, clear and professional - as always. The department was clean and pleasant to visit. I can only recommend the gastroenterology outpatient department and hope that it maintains the high level of service I have come to expect from my visit. My one bug bear was when I went to the main hospital to hand in some paperwork and the receptionist did not seem sure of where I needed to go, and at one point advised me to go back to the outpatient department I had come from. Fortunately I was able to find where I needed to go by trusting my instinct, however I think it vital that the first point of contact in the main hospital (where A&E is located) should have an almost forensic knowledge of the hospital.

Review of Emergency Department - WXH written by a patient
11th January 2018

Please install a monitor system to show Number and Patient name. The staff constantly have to run around casualty trying to find patients who have been called in to see a doctor etc. There is such a system installed in Chingford Hospital which is excellent in operation. The trouble with casualty is noise which needs to be overcome.
