Extremely patronising staff who belittled my problem and my pain. I was told by both my pharmacist and my GP than my insect bite from abroad had become infected. I could also clearly see that it was infected, as my leg had become swollen and oddly coloured. The doctor and nurse at the A&E check-in scoffed when they saw my wound, barely listening to what I was saying and they said it wasn't infected and I didn't need to wait to be seen and should go home. I demanded to be seen anyway, and the second doctor that saw me immediately said it was infected and I needed antibiotics.
The staff also loudly repeated my personal details so everyone in the waiting area could hear them - including my full name, address, phone number and emergency contact. I could also hear them discussing other patients and their personal details and this is a clear violation of confidentiality. Disgusting staff mannerisms.
