I am leaving this feedback as a parent. I accompanied my 8 year old son to his ENT appointment today. Unfortunately, our appointment was 30 mins after our appointed time. It wasn't clear why. I think because we had to wait to see an audiologist before seeing a doctor. However, it wasn't possible for my son to have an audiology test because his ear was infected/blocked. This was the reason for his referral from audiology, which was clear from the audiology referral. This was disappointing. However, we then went to see the Associate Specialist. He was lovely. He introduced himself to me & my son. He made us feel at ease. He asked both me & my son questions. He explained he would clear out the ear using a little Hoover (micro suction) so he could see inside the ear properly. He let my son have a little play around with the suction on his hand. He explained what he & found and that he was prescribed some antibiotics to treat the infection. The nurse working with the doctor was also very kind. Both doctor & nurse showed concern when my son felt dizzy after the experience. So, despite a disappointing start, a very good experience.
