good service
My experiences in the Cardiology Department during the past four years have given me the utmost respect for the staff there in particular and for the NHS in general.
Despite the fact that I am always early for an appointment, the check in procedure is quick and the weight, ECG and BP checks follow very swiftly. I have never waited more than five or ten minutes for the rest of my consultation.
I have been treated with professionalism, kindness and compassion during a very difficult and emotional period of my life. I had an ablation procedure last July, performed by Dr Chalil and his team and my care before, during and after this procedure has been second to none. At all times I have felt valued as a human being and I cannot thank everyone enough for their care, kindness and good humour at all times.
I am very happy for my name to be known.

THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE OF SURGERY AS AN IN-PATIENT.
iT WAS AN EXTREMELY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. I HAD EVERY CONFIDENCE IN MY CONSULTANT MR. M.N. BITTAR [CARDIOTHORACIC SURGEON] AND HIS TEAM AND WOULD RECOMMEND THE HOSPITAL WITHOUT RESERVATION.
I was in the Cardiac Unit in May this year but have also had frequent visits over the last 2 years.
From my first visit having volunteer guides at the entrance was much appreciated
In general I have found the staff helpful and professional . Perhaps I have been fortunate but again generally I have been seen punctually for any consultations and in some cases earlier than the allotted time..
The cardiac unit is a relatively new building and does give the impression of space and cleanliness
All the staff were kind, amiable, and approachable but also very professional. I couldn't have been looked after better.
In the past six months I have visited Blackpool Victoria on eight occasions in connection with my Severe Aortic Valve Stenosis replacement tests, all the staff have been friendly and very helpful .On my most recent visit I mistakenly arrived a day late for my appointment the staff were most helpful and arranged my appointment later in the day.
Cardiac outpatient appointment for May 2017 cancelled by yourselves and rebooked for the 12 July at 10:10. On turning up on time I was told we cannot find your notes. After much coming and going I was informed my notes were languishing at Lytham Hospital. Staff promised to have the notes sent up - after 45mins I gave up and rebooked.
Constructive criticism - where do I start? Staff under pressure, receptionist (on her own) dealing with a myriad of concerns from patients and consultants - but no notes. Not rocket science is it - patient and notes go together - similar to bread and butter - without both the taste and experience is awful.

From my first meeting with Mr.Bittar I felt that I was in good hands and this turned out to be correct. His skills saved my life but without the care and dedication of the nurses and hospital staff and my specialist nurse Sharon I would not have made such a good recovery. If Mr.Bittar sees this 10wks after sugary I did his 24 mile sefton cycle ride which must say everything about the standard of care I received at both Blackpool and PRosemere. Thank you all.
Couldn't speak highly enough about Blackpool Victoria, this hospital put my faith back into the NHS in the Northwest. Clean, modern, great staff and seemed well run.
