Hi, My review is about one of the staff member at Cardiac Invesitgation Department. My Nan went there for a 24 heart monitor and the man who fitted introduced himself as Leon. Later I had a good look at his badge to make sure his name. Leon Mason . Highly inapropriate conversation from start to end, he was more interested in me than talking to my nan. At the end of attaching the monitor he used these awfull words: as much as I would like to Look at you , you can cover yourself now:. I found this really very offensive. My nan, god love her cant hear properly but this staff was awful with attitude and absoultley no manners whatsover. I wish we would not have to deal with him in future.

I have just completed 12 weekly visits on the Oncology Unit at Victoria Hospital. I found all staff friendly, respectful and very professional. Giving me confidence in treatment given, making my time while there comfortable and less traumatic.

Review of Antenatal Care - Maternity Day Unit written by a patient
16th February 2018

The midwife on the day unit, was helpful but slow, did not intoduce themselves. The midwife caled Natalie on ward D was extremely rude, it was obvious that she did not want to be at work. She was inpatient and inconsiderate with mums to be, clearly in the wrong job.

I found the medical staff to be very professional, attentive and always happy to ensure I was comfortable. Housekeeper was eager to help tempt you to eat, going out of her way to find a suitable meal and ensuring there was always water. All with a friendly word and cheerful manner. Unfortunately I found the bathrooms to be dirty. On my ward they were not cleaned every day. The handle to flush the toilet was very difficult to use after my operation and I was forced to seek help from the very busy medical staff. Also the toilet paper holder was located behind the toilet which made access difficult after surgery.

I was nervous about my surgery but was reassured by Mr. Bittar and the nurses. All the staff were very friendly and I enjoyed the food.

Always a good experience. The only thing I would say is there's always a long wait from discharge to receiving medication from the pharmacy and could wait up to three hours.

My Feedback is regarding my Elder Brother who attended Cardiac Investigation Unit for a 24 hours heart monitor. Everything was great apart from the Technician who fit tied the monitor. A young girl named Amy explained what she was going to do. She told us that she was studying at the university and was a bit tired. The issue there was the communication, which was appalling. She wouldn’t listen to my brother and was cutting him off each time he was saying somethin, he was trying to explain his symptoms and she took over the explaination , which we both found very rude. The information provided was very poor, as cardiology nurse , I could easily tell the Tech didn’t have a slight clue of my brother's ailment. She was patronising, which was worse than her lack of communication skills. She had her mobile phone in her hand whilst my brother was getting himself ready, and we found it highly unprofessional. We both will appreciate if this tech Amy will be asked to learn to communicate better and let the patient finish what they are trying to say before she jumps down their throats. I am really offended and I feel this feedback will not be fair on the rest of the department, and our previous experiences with this department have always been great. My apologies for negative feedback but this is just one person and it can affect the whole team
