The nurses did listen once I started raising complaints.
The doctors were good, once I was able to explain about her Parkinson’s disease and the side effects of her meds.
Suggested improvements
Systems, my wife went without her Parkinson’s meds for a day because the system said she had no prescription. I emailed them over.
She was put in isolation after being surprised by a staff member and lashed out. I was unable to visit. She spent 4 days in urine stained clothes. I had to bring in incontinence pads.
She was restrained leaving bruises and hand marks on her ankles which was denied.
Her meds were often late leaving her frozen. She spent one night on the floor after falling and being unable to raise help.
She was dragged across the floor by one arm after asking for help.

The majority of the staff are very helpful and empathetic.
We are lucky to have this hospital and we appreciate it.
Suggested improvements
While the majority of staff are more than helpful, there is a minority of staff who lack empathy and can often make you feel ignored and are quite unapproachable, this can heighten frustration and anxiety in us, as patients - communication really needs to be improved.

Most staff are very helpful but it would make it an easier experience if some of them
smiled a bit more. But maybe some people don't smile as much as others.
Suggested improvements
Explain your medication a bit more when they give it to you, when they give a pot full of pills to you. My meds have been changing a lot but they haven't really helped underdsand what is what.

The ladies who sat with me were kind, receptive and put me a ease.
