Review of Ruby Ward
21st May 2024

Majority of the staff are pleasant and understanding of your needs. The food is fine. The housekeeping and kitchen staff are exceptional, they make sure everything is clean and tidy around the ward. Enjoyed spending time with the staff in the Activity room, Emily, Sam and Vicky - you feel like you're in a totally different area on the ward and feel much more relaxed there. The girls in there are easy to talk to and there are several activities that you can choose to do. Its nice to be able to go out on leave, even if its just to go for a walk and get off the ward for a while.

Suggested improvements
Some staff could improve on their manners, there are several rude staff here. When you knock on the office door, you are often ignored. There have been times where the administration of my medications have been incorrect, which can be worrying, especially if they're medication for physical health. There also appears to be difficulties in medications for physicals health problems to be issued in a timely manner so you end up going without out them. It isn't always clear who are staff and what their role is within the ward i.e. No visible name badges or uniform. And often staff do not introduce themselves.

Review of Aylesbury Vale Day Hospital
19th May 2024

- Went through the different topics in a timely manner - I find most, if not all, of the sessions very useful not only for being able to work on myself, but it gave me some wonderful insight to how others in the program were taking on board the information, and It felt really comforting knowing I wasn't the only one who at times felt some difficulty from time to time with the subjects. (radical acceptance & regulating emotions as an example were very touchy subjects, found myself welling up a lot post session) - I think this is just me being lucky, but I can say I felt encouraged to keep attending because there was one other person who kept going as well, even when they weren't feeling 100%.

Suggested improvements
Not really sure what improvements I would ask for, given the nature of how the ATP sessions work. I would've liked to have some support after the ATP sessions, maybe like a check-in. But its not really something I'm desperate for, since I suppose I can reach out, though I do find difficulty in doing this. I dont know. I don't like asking for more assistance knowing how tightly packed these sessions feel (people joining and going) But that's just how it works, and looking at the upsides, there are plenty that outweigh my very minor issues I have.
