Not related to care provided by Dr Hakim but Holly House Hospital have recently introduced changes in patient admin systems without considering the negative consequences for patients. The GP Suite is an example. Previously it was possible to telephone the Suite directly if a GP requested a patient to do so. Now all contact to the Suite is routed through General Appointments and staff there are instructed not to connect to the Suite. The GP was unaware of the change. Another example is now obtaining blood test results which the GP had left for me to collect. Because they were not in a sealed envelope addressed to me by the GP the staff refused to hand them over until the GP had been contacted at home and had sent a covering email to confirm that I should be handed them. Previously the GP's instructions were sufficient.
