Lots of information given and reassurance when concerns mentioned always know who I can contact if worried.
V. friendly.
There are not any improvements to be made.
The staff were absolutely amazing.
Thank you.
Fantastic care from initial booking appointment with the community midwife through delivery and to discharge. All staff encountered were very friendly and helpful and willing to answer all questions to allay first time mum fears.
Only negative points were:
- there was an element of conflicting information being given around feeding intervals and what is 'normal'. It felt like each person we saw said something slightly different depending on how closely they stuck to the guidelines.
- I had pethidine during delivery and was not reminded upon hospital discharge of the potential for causing drowsiness in baby. This resulted in baby not eating for an extended period (upon waking, food was offered however baby was too tired to eat) and a return visit to b5 to bring baby back on track with feeding. As a result we suffered a high level of stress and anxiety around baby's feeding for the first week. I do have to say though that the support we received during this period was outstanding.
Love this hospital they did everything they could when I had my son would never go anywhere else.
Really lovely staff, helpful people.
