I had an ultrasound in April. The woman was rude, abrupt. I wanted to complain at the time. I’m now writing this review as I was referred to petersfield hospital today for a follow up scan, and the care I received there was impeccable and it’s really comparable. @ ST.Marys I was told to undress and get on the bed (she continued to look at her computer) Almost threw a piece of paper at me to cover up. She did the internal scan and then when I dared to ask the question, if she could see anything? She nearly bit my head off and told me I would have to discuss it with my GP. I now know there was something on that scan, and following that I am now having further treatment via QA. The scan I had today at petersfield, was a completely different experience. The sonographer took the time to explain my previous scans and explain everything she could see going on. She made me feel at ease and I didn’t feel rushed. I came home and cried after my experience in ST.Marys, already concerned I possibly have cancer to be treated so poorly by staff is not on. No bedside manner whatsoever. My appointment was in April- I can’t remember the date exactly but will provide my name and I’m sure you can gather the information from there. I am not just a number, I am a human being and being treated like this is not ok. No one wants health issues. Kindness costs nothing particularly when someone is worried and suffering.
