On day 1 of this cycle (yesterday) the chemotherapy medication was not ready until 2 hours after my 11:00 a.m appointment. The same happened on both days of my previous cycle.
However, the medication was ready today and treatment was able to start on time. This made it much easier for nursing staff and receptionist to provide good care- as well as being better for the patient and reducing car parking cost.
- Nurses extremely helpful and compassionate.
- Waiting time could be improved.
Sheyl has consistently provided an extremely high level of service each and every time I have had to visit the hospital for my infusions. I've always been welcomed and looked after under her care and she has always been sure to check how I've been taking in between infusions and has continued to explain what will be happening during my infusions and makes the experience seamless.
The response by the nurses to the call bell was very prompt - and they were always very kind. Great to have a television - but if there are two controls, please supply instructions - even some of the nurses could not get it to operate - very frustrating.
- Welcome not quite as detailed as last time (though when asked for help on practicalities it was given).
- Nurses so attentive/caring and helpful.
- Felt at ease the whole time.
- V. well looked after.
- The Sainsbury wing should be v. proud of the caring environment it creates.
