I am a ulcerative colitis patient under the care of St Mark’s Hospital’s gastro and IBD team for some years. I have received great care from the consultants and IBD team throughout the years. Recently I had a severe flare up and was admitted to the hospital eventually. I was taken care of and advised by Dr Suzanne Donnelly and IBD nurse Michael Cervantes. After I was advised to admit to the hospital, Dr Donnelly arranged her team to look out for me in the hospital and even called to check on me. Nurse Michael called me twice since I have been discharged to check if I am feeling better and to discuss future treatment plan. She always provide clear and concise information. During my admission in the hospital, all staff in the ward includes the consultants, nurses and catering staff, were extremely professional and nice. I have been taken care of very well. I am feeling a lot better now and I don’t think I will be here today if it wasn’t because of the great care I had from all of these great medical professional at St Mark’s. A very big Thank You to all of you!! You should be proud of your dedication and commitment to your profession.
