Currently sat here still waiting to be seen, been sat here 3hrs waiting. Which is fine I understand can be busy. But seriously the way the reception staff and nurses are talking about patients , everyone knows their names , address and age which I’ve always found a strange one. A young girl came In blatantly scared and upset nearly 30 weeks pregnant and was bleeding they told her that her partner couldn’t be here which was fair enough but then she left and as she left a member of staff muttered well if you want to put your baby at risk , a nurse then followed her outside and persisted to tell her that she was putting her baby at risk . The staff then all gossiped about it being a safeguarding issue and calling her unfit and that her boyfriend looked about 12.

Suggested improvements
Staff shouldn’t be talking about patients like this, people shouldn’t be able to hear other people’s personal information, also non of you much care about a baby under 21 weeks old ! I’ve been in her situation yet i would of stayed for any hope of saving one of my many babies , but now it’s safeguarding because she’s over 29 weeks pregnant. But it’s not safe guarding that no body really cares till this stage. I still remember when I lost one of many juniper at 18 weeks and I was in agony, 3 nurses stood round me and then left the room as I said I felt a massive gush and was soaking , turned out juniper was making his way and there was blood everywhere but not one member of staff stayed with me because my baby had already died. Shes a scared 17 year old and let’s be honest they live together anyways would it if been so hard to make an exception. On the plus side I recently had a healthy baby boy at this hospital and the staff were amazing , I suppose it depends on the ward etc
