Visiting a family member and waiting in the foyer of Campion Ward, we saw Kayley, a lovely support worker. We could see how busy she and all the staff were, but she never stopped smiling, took the time to introduce herself, (we might have spelt her name wrong, she joked that she didn't have a name badge yet!) and had time for each and every patient. She ensured that they had something to drink, something to do and everything they needed. She checked that they were comfortable, and talked to them all equally (even though some obviously didn't talk back). This young lady made sure that we were okay, and checked that we didn't need anything, and made us feel very comfortable on a busy ward. Talking to some other visitors, they said that she had made sure their daughter had a hair wash, and wore her splints, even though they were just as busy as they day before, where the staff hadn't managed to do those things. We don't think we have ever seen anyone walk so quickly, and yet still seem calm and collected, and to know exactly what she was doing. We feel Kayley is a credit to the Campion Ward, and to the hospital.
