Had it not been for this amazing rehabilitation team I would not be where I am today. Almost 6 years post TBI. The team saved my life. Gave me independence back and even if I I don't see them as much now I know they are only a call away. Not only have they helped me but they helped my fiancè to cope with the big changes in my life. I feel like they care for me as they would a family member. I owe so much to the team. When I was released from John radcliffe I was a different person but there wasn't anyone to point us in the right direction. I seemed to fall theough a gap like i was expectes to just leave and get on with my life with a disability and neuro problems. Thankfully we live in Northampton and after making enquiries there was help. Not everyone in the UK is lucky enough. They taught me it's ok to be the new me and how to cope. Gave me strategies for independence. I still have a long way to go to acceptance of this new life but it wouldn't have happened without the team. I wish there were more places people could go across the UK to get the help I got. They truly are amazing people .
