I was admitted to A&E after passing out on the stairs at home, the paramedics believed this could be due to a reaction to the Stemetil tablets I had been taking for severe sickness. However, after seeing a couple of different people you registrar Ashley diagnosed "Monstrous" dehydration. She said I would need at least 2-3 IV bags, Vitamin drip and anti nausea medicine and that I would be in overnight on the Lilac ward who would look after me. I am pregnant with twins (10w) and this was very scary. Lindsey was assigned as my midwife from the second I arrived she was very abrupt and spoke over me repeatedly. She said she didn't know why I had been sent to her as I hadn't thrown up in 24 hrs and although there were Ketenes in my urine I could keep water down and should just go home!!!
