Treated kindly and professionally
I attended the dietitian weight management group on 15th June.
I felt the dietitian did really well in curbing some of the comments from people who wanted to make the discussion about them. The host politely stopped them each time and assured them that this would be covered in their 1 to 1 call.
I didn't like the zoom format where we were told to use the raise hand button yet the presenter couldn't see who had raised their hand. The call needed a proactive support person who could monitor and make the presenter aware when someone had their hand raised.
I feel I am missing a piece of the puzzle which may be covered once I have my 1 to 1. The messaging was clear that in tier 3 you have to spend 12 - 18 months working on managing eating habits etc. However, there was no mention on support in how to do this, other than diet. I have disordered eating so need to address my emotional triggers so will counselling be an option to aid me with my binge eating?
This is really useful feedback which we will help us improve the way we manage zoom courses. Thank you.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. I have passed your comments to the service manager for action. In the meantime please contact the service if you need more guidance. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager
Felt like a computerised consultation.
I did not feel comfortable, it was rushed, impersonal, and I could have received the same output from an automated form.
I don’t feel the Dietitian understood my issues or the support I was looking for.
What a waste of time.
Need to use more empathic people / people oriented dietitian's to consult with patients that feel low before the conversation even begins!
I am really sorry you feel like this and it is very disappointing to read. Our staff are trained to adapt their behaviour and communication to each person. We did have a number of comments from patients who had been spoken to by a locum dietician who has now left the service. Please recontact the service if you need further help.
I am really sorry this was your experience. I have passed your comment to the service manager for action. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager

Extremely great service done from the comfort of your own home
Excellent care by [name removed], resulting in all expected movement back in my shoulder.
[name removed] has given a fantastic level of care and service today.
She had a lot of really great advice and was very informative. She did not make me feel like I was crazy or alone on how I felt.
Thanks for the feedback, the ISVA provision is to provide emotional support around the incident of referral. Mental health diagnosis are not discussed as part of the ISVA remit, if this was mentioned by you during a session we would signposted accordingly. It might be worth visiting your GP if you need further support.
Thank you for your review and kind words. If you feel you need help with your mental health, your GP will be able to advise you. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager
