There needs to be a better systems set up for processing private self funding patients payments.
I am due a rather large refund, having been asked to pay an amount in advance to cover all eventualities, which luckily I did not need to use. The hospital has unfortunately not refunded me a month after my surgery, necessitating my having to make long and tedious phone calls from abroad in order to chase up the payment. Not best pleased! even though the rest of my experience was faultless.
The after care at this hospital was utterly appaulling , inadequate and unsafe. The staff were complaining they were short-staffed and resourced using bank nurses who did not know how to care patients post-operatively with certain conditions. There was no access to a medical doctor between 8pm and 5.30 am.
This hospital's post operative care should be investigated and overhaulled.
Very comfortable and well looked after on Sainsbury Wing.

My only critisisms are
a) Patients not told on arrival how to signal need of care to nurses resulting in misunderstandings (You dont want to use the contact button for any small thing)
b) Catering
Food is disgusting
Some catering staff are very poor indeed
