Following a shoulder dislocation and fracture I was referred for physiotherapy which I received for 8 months at either Towcester or Daventry. I always saw the same therapist, Chetna Khanna, and without her excellent guidance and reassurance I would not have recovered the use of my arm as well as I have. She provided me with clear instructions for exercises, both written and verbal, was always punctual, polite and patient.
During the Coronavirus lockdown the monthly appointments were held by telephone and the final one by videocall, which although not ideal was enough for her to see my progress. I am very appreciative of the NHS care I have received since my accident.
It's been very good. Staff are excellent.
I have done very well due to the attention.
The care and consideration shown to my husband (the patient) and myself has been incredible.
Every member of your staff have been amazing.
I would say there is no room for improvement.
Thank you.
Cheerfulness of staff, even when busy.
Only at peak times, morning - night wait for bell to be answered.
More staff.
The whole team was very caring. I was made comfortable during the whole process.
all my care was excellent
Most of it was good. Expected to be back at work after 6-8 weeks. Returned to work after 14 weeks.
Thank you for your feedback. Most patients can normally return to work 6-8 weeks after surgery. Obviously it will depend on the type of work you do as well as the nature of the surgery. If you have a physically active job you may be advised to take more time off than if you worked in an office. Although the skin heals relatively quickly, it takes many months for all the bones and tendons to return to full strength. Also remember it is possible for the foot to remain sore and swollen for some time. Details of this and other information can be found in the patient information leaflets provided prior to surgery.
Care is brilliant. Everyone is so friendly.
